My methods apply to making speeches, delivering sales presentations, preparing for Q and A sessions, or preparing for media appearances and interviews. Training sessions involve anywhere from two to four sessions running two to three hours each. The typical training program where a prepared speech is provided usually involves two, 3-hour sessions which can be conducted over a two-day period, consecutive days if desired. Scheduling is quite flexible to the client’s needs. The sessions can be conducted in your office conference facilities or another location where you are free of distractions and interruptions.
My approach to one-on-one coaching has been especially helpful to corporate executives, sales managers, marketing and advertising specialists, association leaders, and individuals with personal agendas where public speaking is essential.

Preparing for Video or Television
When it comes to speaking to a camera most people are amateurs. I have found that pre-production coaching can make a big difference for spokespersons and their program producers.
Coaching deals with aspects of speaking in front of a camera and self-control that usually do not occur to speakers who may be used to presenting to audiences and the press. I work on speaking style and abbreviation in making important points to help hold interest in addition to the visual aspects of video and television appearances such as wardrobe, makeup, attitude, and eye contact. I stress the concept of communications intimacy reminding clients they are usually speaking to a small group of 1-to-3 people in a living room, classroom, or some small public place and not to people in a large auditorium or stadium. This awareness alone can relieve stress and influence speaking style.
I have first-hand experience with video and television coaching and I know how to prepare corporate and other amateur spokespersons to give more effective, persuasive, and concise presentations for video and television.
My work has included rehearsing amateur and celebrity talent to appear on a nationally syndicated television special, “Home Sweet Home – Still the American Dream” a yearly special produced and co-sponsored by the National Association of Realtors. Homeowners were interviewed in their homes about their perceived value of homeownership. Celebrities such as Marshall Loeb, then Editor of Fortune Magazine; Bob Vila, from the remodeling show; Kathy Lee Gifford of the Today Show, our moderator for one show; and others were all put through the pre-interview phase.
It really paid off in terms of production quality, getting their point across in a way that was interesting to the audience while satisfying the needs of the Association, and it made for an efficient production schedule saving time and money.
